It is with great pleasure that Castle Saburac, on behalf of Sir Hugh the Little and Baroness Therasa Comins, announce the safe arrival of our newest member, Angelina Elizabeth at approximately 9.30pm on Friday 13th October. Angie weighed in at 7lb exactly, measuring 51cm. Mum and bub both very well, Dad disgustingly proud :)
We, the members of Castle Saburac, in light of a recent unfortunate incident involving the foot of one of our number and a sewing needle, do hereby make public our plan to call for a system of authorisations for the obviously dangerous pursuit of arts and sciences.
As a household of fighters, we've obviously sustained an injury or two over the years. However this is the first time one of us has required surgical intervention. Therefore, we're forced to draw the conclusion that sewing is in fact more dangerous than heavy fighting. And, since we're required to hold authorisations in order to fight, so no one gets hurt, it seems apparent that a similar system should be instituted for arts and sciences disciplines.
We envisage the following authorisations being available:
- Machine Sewing
- Hand Sewing
- Overlocker
- Sharp Pointy Things (ie Quik-unpick, tailor's awl, scissors, poking leather with pointy things)
- Fussy Hand Sewing (ie buttonholes, lacing eyelets)
This list may be added to over time, as more and more dangerous arts come to mind.
Stand with us against this dangerous pastime. Innocent people must be protected from the danger presented by this insidious menace.
... He's going to be fine, by the way. 12mm of snapped-off sewing needle duly removed from right foot by clever surgeon man. Quite painful, but we're told no lasting damage, thankfully. We're hoping to scan the x-rays for your viewing pleasure. :S

New header graphic on main page - got bored and started messing round in Paint Shop. Meta tag experiment continues, our site is now ranked third, behind two different versions of the March event flier, but that's a definate improvement.
In other news, congrats to the guys on their performances at Stormhold Bash on Sunday - go you :D

Just thought I'd let ya'll know, I've added some kick arse meta tags, in the vague hope that when you put "castle saburac" into a search engine, what you get is us, not our event flier stored on the Stormhold website. Of course, it'll take some time for that to do it's thing, so we'll see how it goes. Woot.

If you have a browser that's not Firefox because it doesn't like it at all, you can now turn the sound off. There should be a little control box in the top frame where you can turn the music on and off as you please.
I'm so glad I'm not the only person that shat :D

There's a video of the final of May Crown on the Krae Glas website. It's a bit wibbly, but watchable.
I also gakked the photos off of the KG site that had us in them :D
Also, all the photos from the March tourney are now on the website. Sick days are wonderful things.

No one could ever accuse Castle Saburac of taking ourselves too seriously hehe. L-R Sir Hugh, Therasa, Eoghann, Conan and myself
More photos (about 80 of them ;)) at the website :D
Okay, I've done a small update on the website...fixed a couple of things that shat me, everyone's profile pages are uploaded, sans answers, I'll update as people actually provide content for them :) And I've fixed a couple of devices - is that better?
Shiny shiny journal!!
